Heather Noble
Eating Disorder Support
What to Expect Working Together
Please note: All nutrition appointments will be VIRTUAL. Heather Noble Nutrition services are offered to Ontario residents only due to licensing registration.
Getting Started
The first step is a complimentary phone call to determine if we are mutually a good fit. We will then book you in for a one-hour initial assessment appointment to better understand your unique situation and needs. Virtual one-on-one nutrition counselling sessions are offered at a recommended frequency of weekly or bi-weekly. Family and joint sessions are offered as needed.
The Recovery Process
Typically recovering from disordered eating behaviours or an eating disorder is a slow and lengthy process that cannot be rushed. We will move at a pace you feel comfortable moving at. Your nutrition support treatment plan is individualized for you based on your severity and frequency of symptoms (ex. Bingeing, purging, restricting, etc).
Interdisciplinary Approach
An eating disorder is a multi-faceted, extremely complex mental health condition. Addressing the root cause and exploring the emotional component is essential in recovery, which is why we collaborate with psychotherapists, psychologists, and social workers specialized in this area.
Speaking From Experience
What We Will Accomplish Together
Symptom Interruption Through Mechanical Eating
Challenging Fear Foods & Food Avoidances
Here, we challenge the rules of ‘forbidden foods’ imposed by the eating disorder/disordered eating voice. We will gradually challenge these rules and beliefs through exposure therapy. My job is not complete until you to feel 100% comfortable and in control around all foods, and in any emotional state or environment.
